We won’t be surprised if India will be named the Festival Capital of the world. With more than a hundred festivals in a year, India is always glittering in extravagant celebrations, dance and music gala shows and incandescent spread of mouth watering food. One such vibrant festival is Baisakhi, the harvest festival for the Sikhs. This Indian festival is celebrated widely across the culturally diversified country with equal enthusiasm and gusto, celebrating the agricultural edge in the country. Baisakhi is also known as Punjabi New Year and revolves around the harvest cycle, marking the harvest of Rabi crops in Punjab and Haryana.   It is also a Thanksgiving festival where farmers thank nature and God for a bountiful harvest.
